PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:
COUNCIL ACTION RESOLUTION NO. 2004-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, DECLARING ITS INTENT TO IMPOSE
A MORATORIUM ON MULTI -FAMILY USE DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
A MORATORIUM. Mr. Darrin Coker, City Attorney.

Mayor Pro-Tem Tetens made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Marcott, to
approve Resolution No. R2004-14.
City Manager, Bill Eisen, stated this is a follow-up to the Public Hearing held earlier this
evening. This Resolution instructs the City Attorney to prepare a City Ordinance that
establishes a moratorium. He stated the Ordinance, thereafter, would need to be approved
on two readings. The first reading of the Ordinance will be set for the next Regular Council
Meeting on February 9, 2004.
Voting "Aye" Councilmernbers Seeger, Marcott, Tetens, Owens, and Viktorin.
Voting "No" None.
Motion Passed 5 to 0.

Council adjourned into Executive Session under Texas Government Code at 8:30 p.m. to
discuss the following:
1, SECTION 551.071 -- CONSULTATION WITH CITY ATTORNEY'
REGARDING ZONING WITHIN THE CITY OF PEARLAND.
