A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, amending a
professional services contract with DEC (formerly Dannenbaum Engineering
Corp.) associated with the Smith Ranch Road Widening Project, in the
additional amount of $165,335.00 (total contract of $1,614,057.65).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That certain amended contract for professional services associated with the
Smith Ranch Road Widening Project, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and made a
part hereof for all purposes, is hereby authorized and approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute and
the City Secretary to attest an amended contract for professional services associated with the Smith
Ranch Road Widening Project.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 26th day of June, A.D., 2023.

This wot-k includes development nranentrance to meet wooten Road being developed for the new
Buccee's.This road will connect Smith Ranch Road with the SH 288 frontage road and will be 3
lanes wide.The work includes:
-coordinating with auccee's engineer for schematic layout orWooten Road.
I Revisions to the entrance including new radii’s.curb locations,pavement widths,offsets,
and notes using our copak geometric design program.
Adjust the median openings to line up with smith Ranch Road 2
Check criteria for revised tum lanes
Revise quantities and costs
Adjust Drainage Plan,Utility Plan and sw3r to re?ect revised design

This work includes revising Smith Ranch Road 2 from I to 3 lanes to meet a new classi?cation of
the roadway as requested by the city.This includes aligning the intersection with the new Wooten
Road.Since the ROW is less than the required ROW for the new classi?cation,the new road must
transition hack to the existing cartway.presently at 12 feet.Work includes:
-Revising the roadway geometry to 3 lanes with a transition rronr3 lanes to the existing
canway ofl lane.
0 Revise the drainage to include a change from ditches to inlets and pipes.Includes new
?anking inlets on smith Ranch Road 2,150 If.of new drainpipe and one new and one
relocated manhole.Includes drainage design backup for the new inlets and pipes runs.
