J. VIAL FROM: PAUL GROHMAN, CITY MANAGER DATE: MARCH 23 , 1995 SUBJECT: OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER BID It has come to my attention that we may possibly have a violation due to our old bid procedures. The question arises in regard to our annual award of bid of the official newspaper. Ms. Jones, former City Secretary, made the recommendation which currently stands. , Due to the. Reporter News not having a second class mail permit, this may have not have been a good recommendation. Effective immediately and until which time we would norm lly go out to bid, we will advertise all legal notices in both the Pearland Journal and the Pearland Reporter News. The Journal has agreed to the identical price structure as the Reporter's. Thank you for you attention to this matter.
