RESOLUTION NO. R2023-9
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Pearland, Texas, amending a
service contract for design services (Shadow Creek Parkway Landscaping,
Street Lighting and Sidewalks Project), with Gauge Engineering, LLC, in the
additional amount of $84,767.00 (total contract amount of $907,552.00).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Section 1. That a contract for design services was previously awarded to Gauge
Engineering, LLC.
Section 2. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute an
amended contract for design services in the additional amount of $84,767.00.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 23rd day of January, A.D., 2023.

Explanation:
This amendment encompasses the following: Update design plan to install the street lights two feet from
the edge of road shoulder in lieu of the road median due to Texas Department of Transporation's (TXDOT)
clear zone requirement. In addition, the proposed landscape in the road median will be updated to meet
TXDOT's clear zone requirement.
