Ord. 0132 1967-01-26a-.uuen_s:uJs::r AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND RE-CREATING POSITIONS, SUCH POSITIONS AND CLASSIFICATIONS TO BE THAT OF'THE CITY RECORDER OR CORPORATION COURT JUDGE,, AS SET OUT IN ARTICLE. 1196, VERNON'S TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES;• PROVIDING THAT MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL SHALL DETERMINE THE EXACT AMOUNT OF SALARY WHICH SHALL BE PAID TO THE HOLDER OF SUCH POSITION; PROVID- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 7, 1960; AND DECLARING AN. EMERGENCY. **************** BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL' OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND: Section 17.The City Council appointed-a-eorporate Court Recorder -or City.Judge and that such office is here- by created to conform with the minutes of the Council meet- ing of January 7, 1960, whereas, R.E. SEGELQUIST be appointed as Corporate Court Recorder or Corporation Court Judge. Section 2: That the City Council as of this date does herein adopt the minutes of January 7, 1960 of the council meeting whereas,the above stated Corporate Court Recorder or Corporation Court Judge was established and the hereinbefore mentioned, JUDGE R. E. SEGELQUIST was appointed as Corporate.:. Court Recorder or Corporation Judge and such office is hereby recreated and reappointed. Section 3: That the holder of such position shall have such duties and responsibilities as so designated by Article 1196 of the Vernon,'s Texas Civil Statutes and Ordinances of the City of Pearland and the laws of the State of Texas. ti.
