COMMISSION, OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD MONDAY,
FEBRUARY 5, 1996 AT 7:00 P.M., IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 3519 LIBERTY
DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following present:
Chairman Pat Lopez
Vice Chairman Emil Beltz
Commissioner Peggy Mayfield -Royer
Commissioner Randy Patro
Commissioner Jeffery O'Brien
Assistant City Richard Burdine
Manager
City Engineer John Hargrove
Commissioners Marshall Eggers and Rob Larsen were absent.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of January 15, 1996
A motion to approve the minutes of the January 15, 1996 meeting, was made by Commissioner
Jeffery O'Brien, seconded by Commissioner Peggy Mayfield -Royer.
Motion Passed 4 to 0.
III. NEW BUSINESS
A. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION - Preliminary Plat of Keilers
Subdivision.
Mr. Fred Gormley, RPLS was present representing Keilers Subdivision.
Commissioner Jeffery O'Brien made a motion to approve the plat subject to filing a document
in the Brazoria County Deed Records (BCDR) indicating the property owner's intent to use the

Reserve and their adjacent 1.26 acres as one building site and showing the BCDR volume and
page on the final plat. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Peggy Mayfield -Royer.
Motion Passed 4 to 0.
Commissioner Randy Patro arrived at 7:15 p.m.
B. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION - Preliminary Plat of
Southwyck, Section Nine.
Mr. Randy Riley of Kerry R. Gilbert & Associates was present representing
Beazer Homes, USA, Inc.
John Hargrove recommended approval as submitted, however he cautioned developers and
engineers about submitting final plats before preliminary plats are approved by the Planning &
Zoning Commission.
Commissioner Jeffery O'Brien made a motion to approve the preliminary plat of Southwyck,
Section Nine, seconded by Commissioner Randy Patro.
Motion Passed 5 to 0.
IV. Next Meeting Date: Monday, February 12, 1996; 7:00 p.m., Joint Public
Hearing with City Council

subdivision of 0.69 acres out of a 3.363 acre tract known as Lot 2,
Block 3, of Herridge-Miller Subdivision.
B. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION - Preliminary Plat of
Southwyck, Section 9, Brazoria County, Texas, a proposed subdivision
of 34.63 acres of land containing 138 lots, 5 reserves and 3 blocks.
IV. NEXT MEETING DATE: Monday, February 12, 1996; 7:00 p.m.
