ON TI-IIS the ~/~day of April~ A. D. 1964, the City Council
of the City of Pearland~ Brazoria County~ Texas, convened in regular
session at the regular meeting place with the following members present:
with the following members absent:
and constituting a quorum and among other proceedings the following was
had:
Cotmcilman ~-/~. ~ a~,t/ introduced a Resolution and
order and moved its adoption. The Motion was seconded by Coum_cilman
~_e.gW/)-M~e~, and the Motion carried with it the adoption and
the Resolution prevailing in the following:

and came to be considered the return of election held on April 7, 1964, for
the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials and it appearing
from said return, duly and legally made that there was cast at said election

,-~ ~/~ votes, which were legal and valid votes and each of said candi-
dates in said election received the following votes:
For Mayor: E.T. Gibbons
Joe Dan Calvin ,~ / f votes.
For Councilman:
M. O. Knapp ///J~' votes;
Yohn D. Mark /~ votes;
Gene E. Sanders votes;
Steven A. Shukanes, Yr. ores;
David L. Smith, Jr. /~.~votes.
THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the City Council o£ the
City of Pearland, Brazoria Cotmty, Texas, that said election was duly
called; that Notice of said election was 9iven in accordance with the law
and ~hat said election was held in accorc~nce wi~h [he law and that
E. T. Gibbons
was duly elected Mayor of said City at said election and
Gene E. Sanders and Steven A. Shukanes, Yr.
were duly elected Councilmen at said election and said above named parties
are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to their
taking the Oath and filing Bond as required by the S~ate of Texas.
