INFORMAL DISCUSSION WITH CHARLES MCMURREY CONCERNING DETENTION
PONDS WITHIN THE CITY OF PEARLAND.
Mr. McMurrey, resident of the Springfield Subdivision, questioned
the city's policy on the upkeep of detention ponds within the
subdivisions.
It was determined that while there is nothing in writing, it is
the policy of the city that the homeowners' association maintain
the detention ponds.
It was suggested by the City Attorney that the Planning & Zoning
Commission submit a letter to City Council requesting that the
City Attorney be instructed to draft legislation which would
address this issue. It was the consensus of the Commissioners
that this be executed as soon as possible.
