P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE,
PEARLAND TEXAS
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

sences.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Pat Courtin, seconded by Mary Starr, that the
Minutes of the Meeting of May 16, 1991, by approved as submitted.
Motion passed unanimously.
It was moved by Pat Courtin, seconded by James Garner, that the
Minutes of the Meeting of April 29, 1991, be approved as submit-
ted.
Motion passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
General Discussion:
The Commission discussed Benny Frank's resignation, wishing him
good luck in his new position.
Al Lentz informed the Board that on June 13, 1991 there is a
tentative meeting scheduled with the City of Friendswood Planning
and Zoning Commission, regarding joint cooperation on certain
projects that pertain to both cities.
Al Lentz related to the Board that the Mayor has asked if the
Planning and Zoning Commission has any recommendations or nomina-
tions for the replacement of Benny Frank. Al Lentz asked that
these recommendations be turned into him within the next two days
so they can be given to the Mayor.

Staff representative Dick Qualtrough suggested to the Board that
they set a regular meeting date. He explained that perhaps this
may alleviate last minute preparation and give the Staff more
time for review. It was agreed by the Board that the meeting
dates will be set for the first and third (if necessary) Tuesday
of the month.
It was moved by James Garner, seconded by Pat Courtin to table
the election of officers until there is a larger group present to
choose and vote.
Motion passed unanimously.
Meeting recessed at 7:50 P.M.
Meeting reconvened at 8:00 P.M.
PRELIMINARY PLAT OF BANBURY CROSS SECTIONS II AND III - BEING A
33.9911 ACRE TRACT OUT OF THOMAS A. GREEN SURVEY ABSTRACT 198 IN
THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, BRAZORIA COUNTY
Dick Qualtrough explained that the Staff reviewed the plat and
determined the only change is separating Section II into Sections
II and III. The Board discussed several issues such as tying
into streets, building lines, and the temporary cul -de -sac.
It was moved by Mary Starr, seconded by James Garner, that the
preliminary plat of Banbury Cross Sections II and III be ap-
proved.
Motion passed 3 to 0, with Al Lentz abstaining.
