A regular meeting of the Pearland City Council was held on Tuesday,
November 24, 1964, at the City Hall, 1)1)129 Texas Avenue, with the
following city officials and guests in attendance .
Mayor John G. Kegley, Councilmen Gene E. Sanders, Victor A. Nolen,
Thomas. P. Alexander, City Engineer William' C. Walsh _and City Secretary
W. A. McClellan. }-

Guests : David L. Smith, Jr. , Orlen O'Day, Lee Plyler,and Tony
Alvarez.
Motion made by Nolen, seconded by Alexander, that minutes of the
meeting held on November 12, 1964 be approved.. All Councilmen voted
"aye" with no "noes . " Motion carried.
Motion made by Nolen, seconded by Alexander, that minutes of meeting
held on November 20, 1964, be approved with changes . All Councilmen
voted "aye" with no "noes ." Motion carried.
Motion made by Nolen, seconded by Sanders, that the following invoices
and salaries be paid. All Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes ."
Motion carried.

Councilman Alexander reported that Mr. Newt Alexander of the Houston
Natural Gas Company had contacted him concerning the dip across the
entrance streets into Westminister Subdivision and advised that
something would be done in the near future .
Street and Bridge Committee reported that the holes in the streets
were being repaired by use of limestone .

Sealed bids for shell and limestone on three projects previously
approved were referred to the Street and Bridge Committee for con-
sideration. The projects referred to being as follows :
100' on Woody Road.
Alley in Block 5, Townsite.
Old Alvin Road from Plum Street to Orange Street.
Councilman Nolen reported that the Right-of-Way Committee has the
Deed in hand on Sewer Site No. 3 and same is in the process of being
11 recorded.
Councilman Nolen reported that the lift station to serve Sherwood
Subdivision was waiting for the electricity to be connected.
Motion made by Alexander, seconded by Nolen, that the City Secretary
write a letter to the State Board of Insurance regarding the City' s
Key Insurance and their decision on Sleepy Hollow and Longwood Sub-
divisions as mentioned in their letter of November 19, 1964. All
Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes ." Motion carried.
Mayor Kegley appointed Mayor Pro Tem Nolen, City Engineer William
C. Walsh, City Secretary W. A. McClellan-and other Councilmen who
wish to be present on Saturday, December 5, 1964, at 10 :00 A. M.
to open bids for the Sanitary Sewer Treatment Plant and Interceptor
Trunk Lines to serve Sleepy Hollow Subdivision and Longwood Sub-
division.
Mayor Kegley called for a special meeting to be held Thursday Night,
December 3, 1964, at 7 :00 P. M. for the purpose of receiving bids
on $800,000.00 Waterworks and Sanitary Sewer System Improvement
Bonds, Series 1964.
Motion made by Sanders, seconded by Nolen, that Mrs . Oma Parker be
allowed accumulative vacation pay for seven days for the reason she
had resigned and was moving from Pearland. AllCouncilmen voted "aye"
with no "noes ." Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M.
