1964-11-09 CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES 116 A special meeting of the Pearland City Council was called to order at 7:30 P. M. , November 9, 1964, by Mayor Kegley in the City Hall with the following city officials and guests in attendance. Mayor John G. Kegley, Councilmen Thomas P. Alexander, Victor A. Nolen, Gene E. Sanders and City Secretary W. A. McClellan. Guests : A. H. Casey, Pancho Enriquez, Earl Nugent and Mr. Herren. Motion made by Nolen and seconded by Alexander that George C. CoxCompany be paid the sum of S16,637.50 on final estimate for the Mary' s Creek Water Treatment Plant. All Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes. " Motion carried. Motion made by Nolen and seconded by Alexander that Layne Texas Company be paid the sum- of $6,938.75 on final estimate for the Mary' s Creek Water Well and appurtenances . All Councilmen voted "aye" with no 'noes." Motion carried. Motion made by Nolen and seconded by Sanders that Chicago Bridge & Iron Company be paid the sum of $19,178.25 on final estimate for the Mary' s Creek all welded steel ground storage tank and appurtenances . All Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes . " Motion carried. Motion made by Nolen, seconded by Sanders, that Horace Glenn Blackburn be paid two weeks severance pay and one week vacation pay.
