Mr. Joe Valez, landscaper for Mr. Turner, and the Board discussed the different types of plants they had planted. Board Member Suzanne Tullis asked how long the supports would have to remain on the palm trees. Mr. Valez stated the supports would remain for approximately eight (8) months. Board Member Marvin Elam asked if there was some reason other than aesthetics that Mr. Turner chose to use palm trees. Mr. Elam asked if Mr. Turner had ever heard of any detrimental problems with palms, such as rats, etc. Mr. Valez answered Mr. Elam by stating that only certain types of palms with plants or a berm placed too closely to the palm will cause such problems.
