IN THE PEARLAND COMMUNITY CENTER, 3523 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS. Cook, and Planning & Zoning Members: Leroy Savoie, Helen Beckman, Hardie Barr, Frank Ravet, and Clyde Starnes. 45 SIGNED ATTENDANCE REGISTER PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: RECONVENED THE PUBLIC HEARING OF JANUARY 19, 1984, TO GIVE THE PERSONS SIGNING AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK IN REGARD TO THE LAND USE ORDINANCE PROPOSED TO BE REVISED WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. CITIZEN INPUT: 1. James Garner, 2003 Willow Creek Lane, presented a Petition to the Assistant City Secretary Dorothy S. Thompson, containing 338 signatures of Woodcreek Subdivision residents objecting to the proposed R-3 PUD zoning in the section between Mary's Creek and Winding Creek. 2. David Miller, 3405 E. Broadway, representing the Pearland Area Chamber of Commerce, presented a letter from Mr. William C. Walsh, Chairman of the Pearland Industrial Development Committee. This letter recommended that the land bounded by Knapp, Old Alvin and Orange Street be changed to Commercial or M-1 instead of the proposed R-3 zoning, and that the newly annexed property South be designated as M-1 between the boundaries of Highway 35 and Pearland Sites Road. 3. John S. Hallmark, 6410 Rice Road - Commented on the zoning map. 4. Mrs. Donald E. Halik, 1705 N. Main - Questioned the proposed R-3 and Commercial zoning on her property on Halik Road, and stated that some time ago they had the property rezoned. She was advised by City Manager Wicker to come by the City Hall and that we would check our files on rezoning. 5. Robbie Esterlein, 3509 Orange Street, representing Replacement Parts - Requested that their five acres be zoned M-1 and not as the proposed residential R-3 classifi- cation. 6. Frances Jamison, Pearland, Texas - Submitted two requests to have 36.32 acres (2417 E. Broadway) zoned Commercial and Multi -Family, and 60.0 acres between John Lizer and Nottingham zoned Commercial and R-2. 116 7. Oma G. Hebble, 1807 Meadow Creek, Pearland - Submitted application to zone her property at 3520 Dixie Farm Road to General Business. 8. Geo. E. Stourton, Elsa, Texas, agent for Gerald E. Wilkins, presented map and appli- cation requesting his property (just recently annexed by the City) be zoned Mobile Home Park. 9. David Miller, 3405 E. Broadway, speaking on Application 36, Gladys Dissen, et al and M. E. Settegast, requesting 315 acres located 518 East of Great Southwest Bar -B -Q to be zoned General Business, R-2 and R-3. 10. M. O. Gautney, 6450 Scott Lane - Questions regarding his sign business located in the newly annexed area on Scott Lane. He was given an application to submit stating how he would like to have his property zoned. 11. John S. Hallmark, 6410 Rice Road - Commented on the zoning of property in newly annexed area. 12. Tom Alexander, Pearland, Texas - Requested Town homes and patio homes be considered into a new district, possibly giving it a R-4 classification. Narregang Subdivision of the Southwest 320 acres of the lower middle 1/4 of the W.D.C. Hall League, Abstract 70, and Lots 8, 9, and 10 of the George W. Jenkins Subdivision of the W.D.C. Hall League, Abstract 70, be changed to Residential R-2. 19. Application dated January 19, 1984, from Moody R. Cockerell, requesting Lot 7, Block 2 of the Herridge Miller Subdivision, Section 5, Abstract 237 (4-1/2 acres, more or less, corner of Wilke Road and Scott Lane), be changed to M-1 (Light T Industrial). 20. Communication from James E. Hinton, President of Metro Financial Corporation, dated January 20, 1984, regarding the proposed R-3 zoning on approximately 16 acres near Woodcreek Subdivision. 21.
