MINUTES OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING HELD BY THE PEARLAND CITY COUNCIL AND THE PLANNING
AND ZONING COMMISSION ON JANUARY 12, 1984, AT 7:30 P. M. IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER,

CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDED ZONING ORDINANCE AND PROPOSED ZONING
MAP OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND.
INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY MAYOR REID:
Mayor Reid advised the audience of the ground rules established for the Hearing and
asked that anyone wishing to speak sign the register and their name would be called in
the order in which they signed in.
CITIZENS:
1. George Stourton, 117 E. Wilson, Elsa, Texas - Mr. Stourton referred to Page 6, Item
4, and advised that in reviewing all of the densities per acre in the various cate-
gories he found that only one was omitted, this being for mobile homes. On Item 9,
in that column it states that a minimum of two driveways per mobile home be provided.
Mr. Stourton stated that he felt this meant parking spaces. Also, there is no PUD
situation for Mobile Home classification.
2. Therese Coleman, 117 E. Wilson, Elsa, Texas - (Did not speak)
3. Ernest Smith, 1901 Winding Creek, Pearland - Mr. Smith represented the Woodcreek
Homeowner's Association and advised that a petition is being circulated to make
area around Woodcreek R-2 instead of R-3.
4. James Garner, 2003 Willow Creek Lane, Pearland - Mr. Garner, President of Wood -
Creek Homeowner's Association, expressed concern about R-3 zoning in front of
Woodcreek Subdivision.
