MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON
SEPTEMBER 19, 1983, AT 7:30 P. M. IN THE CITY HALL, 2335 N. TEXAS AVE., PEARLAND, TEXAS.
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:
PROPOSAL BY SNOWDEN ENGINEERING FOR LIBERTY DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS:
Resolution No. R83-22 was read in full by Councilman Lentz.
It was moved by Councilman Lentz, seconded by Councilman Gray that Resolution No. R83-22
be passed and approved on first and only reading. Said Resolution No. R83-22 reads as
follows:
RESOLUTION NO. R83-22
WHEREAS, the City of Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas, is in need of certain
engineering services necessary for a street improvement project for Liberty Drive
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the officials of the City of Pearland that the
Engineering Firm of Snowden Engineering, 2121 E. Broadway, Suite B, Pearland, Texas,
77581, is a capable firm consisting of several engineers who are competent and
capable inthisspecific field of work and having as principal members of the firm,
engineers registered as Professional Engineers in the State of Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pearland, that
the Mayor is hereby authorized and instructed to sign a contract on behalf of the
City of Pearland with Snowden Engineering for Engineering Services for a street
improvement project.
Voting "Aye": Councilman Lentz, Councilman Bost, Councilman Mack, Councilman Frauenberger
and Councilman Gray.
Voting "No". None
Motion passed 5 to 0.
RESOLUTION NO. R83-25, A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
TO BE HELD CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW LYING WITHIN THE
EXTRA TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY. (NASAWOOD AND TRIANGLE):
This Resolution replaces Resolution No. R83-23 previously passed and approved by the
City Council on September 12, 1983.
Resolution No. R83-25 read in full by Councilman Gray and Councilman Frauenberger.
It was moved by Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman Frauenberger that Resolution No.
R83-25 be passed and approved on first and only reading. Said Resolution No. R83-25
reads in caption as follows:

WITHIN THE EXTRA -TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF
PEARLAND, TEXAS, AND REVOKING RESOLUTION R83-23 HERETOFORE
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
Voting "Aye Councilman Gray, Councilman Frauenberger, Councilman Mack, and Council-
man Bost.

Motion passed 4 to 0. Councilman Lentz absent from the Chambers at this time.
RESOLUTION NO. R83-26, A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
TO BE HELD CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW LYING WITHIN THE
EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY. (ANNEXATION SOUTH):
This Resolution replaces Resolution No. R83-24 previously passed and approved by the
City Council on September 12, 1983.
Resolution No. R83-25 read in full by Councilman Mack and Councilman Bost.
It was moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Bost that Resolution No. R83-26
be passed and approved on first and only reading. Said Resolution No. R83-26 reads
in caption as follows:
