1. Public Hearing on Proposed Fiscal Year2021-2022 Budget.
City Manager Clay Pearson gave a brief presentation of the Fiscal Year 2022
Budget.
Kent Carson, Shadycrest Homeowners Association, 3907 Longherridge Dr.,
spoke in opposition of the proposed utility fee increase.
Charles McMurrey, 5209 Spring Branch Dr., spoke regarding pay for the
employees.
Veronica Longoria, 2907 Julie Ann Dr., spoke in opposition of the proposed utility
fee increase.
Diego Lopez, Pearland Professional Firefighters Association, 621 Shadowcliff
Ct., spoke regarding the proposed step pay plan and pay for the Fire
Department.
Matthey Barrere, 3001 Abby Ln, made comments regarding the proposed step
pay plan and pay for the Fire Department.

Kathryn McBride, 12503 Canal St, made comments regarding the proposed step
pay plan and pay for the Fire Department.
Brian Perkins, 906 Wavecrest Ln, made comments regarding the proposed step
pay plan and pay for the Fire Department,
Jeremy Stringer, 3908 Houston Lake Dr., spoke in opposition of the proposed
utility fee increase.
Betty Audish, 1609 S. Lago Vista Dr., spoke in opposition of the proposed utility
fee increase and the burden on seniors.
Jimmy Davis, Pearland Water Billing Discussion Group, 5004 Colmesneil St,
spoke regarding the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget
Stephanie Herbert, 2006 Isla Dr., stated her concerns regarding utility billing.
2. Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Discussion #3.
Chief Financial Officer Amy Johnson, provided a brief overview of the budget
process.
Budget Officer Eric Roche, gave an overview of follow up information requested
by City Council at the previous budget discussions.
Human Resources Director LaRae James, gave a brief overview of the options
foI the Compensation &Classification Study.
Discussion ensued amongst Council and staff regarding the presented budget
plan options.
Mayor Cole stated there is a Council consensus for staff to possibly reduce the
proposed utility fee increase from 9 percent to 5 percent.
V. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Cole adjourned the meeting at 10:15 p.m.
