V. INTRODUCTION OF AGENDA AND FORMAT OF WORKSHOP
Input and Discussion: A request by Andrew Lang, BGE, Inc., applicant, on
behalf of William and Robert Lew, owner, for a Joint Planned Development
Workshop, as required by the Unified Development Code, regarding a
proposal to create a Planned Development for a residential development
consisting of multi -family, single-family, and an elementary school site at
the southeast corner of Old Massey Ranch Road and future Harkey Road,
on approximately 74.71 acres of land, to wit:
Legal Description: Being Lot or Tract No. 23 of the Allison Richey Gulf
Coast Home Company Suburban Gardens Subdivision of Section 7, HT &
Pearland City Council and Planning and Zoning Minutes August 16, 2021
B.R.R. Company Survey, Abstract No. 219, Brazoria County, Texas,
according to the plat of said Subdivision recorded in Volume 2, Page 23
and 24of the Plat Records of Brazoria County, Texas,
General Location: Southeast Corner ofOld Massey Ranch Road and Future
Harkey Road
Planning Manager Martin Griggs presented the staff report.
Alan Muller, Gromax Development, gave an overview of the proposed planned
development.
David Jarvis, John Burns Real Estate Consulting, spoke regarding the. single-
family rental market.
Andrew Lang, BGE Inc., applicant, spoke regarding the proposed planned
development.
Commissioner Henry Fuertes recused himself from the discussion.
Discussion ensued among the City Council and the Planning and Zoning
Commission regarding the proposed planned development.
Rob Cobb, First Capital, spoke regarding the proposed planned development.
No action was taken.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Cole adjourned the meeting at 8:53 p.m.
