NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with order of the Office of the Governor issued
March 16, 2020, the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Pearland will conduct its Joint Planned Development Workshop scheduled on Monday, July 19,
2021, at 6:00 PM, located at City Hall, 3519 Liberty Dr., Pearland, Texas 77581 by telephone or
video conference (preferred) and also in-person with social distancing protocols and restrictions
in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called “social
distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The public will be permitted to offer public comments telephonically as first priority and in-person
as provided by the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting.
All virtual participating speakers MUST register in advance (Monday, July 19, 2021, no later
than 12 p.m.). All public comments will occur during Citizen Comments, expect that
comments pertaining to a specific agenda item will occur when the agenda item is
considered.

Once the registration form is received, residents will receive either an email or phone call
providing the telephone number to call.
Speakers must call in at least 30 minutes prior to the meeting start in order to speak,
late callers will not be accepted and will not be able to speak. Speakers will be placed in
a queue until their time to speak.
Handouts or other information must be emailed to citysecretary@pearlandtx.gov no later than
12 p.m. on the day of the meeting. The information will be provided to Mayor and Council in
advance of the meeting.

In order to hear all citizen comments at a reasonable hour, the City Council requests
that speakers respect the three-minute time limit for individual comments and the five-
minute time limit for an individual speaking on behalf of a group. This is not a
question-answer session, however, it is an opportunity to voice your thoughts with City
Council.

VI.PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP
1.Input and Discussion: A request by Katy Harris, LJA Engineering, applicant,
on behalf of JUD'S Food Stores Inc., owner, for a Joint Workshop, as
required by the Unified Development Code, regarding a proposed Planned
Development for a residential development consisting of a mixture of lot sizes
ranging from townhomes to 65-foot lots, on approximately 70.55 acres of
land, to wit:
Legal Description: Being 70.5149 acres of land located in the H. Stevens
Survey, Abstract 594, Brazoria County, Texas, more particularly being the
residue of that certain called 74.712 acres of land conveyed to Jud's Food
Stores, by Official the of 94-004500 Number Inc. of instrument record
Records of Brazoria County, Texas, (B.C.O.P.R.), said residue described as
70.5489 acres in the Deed Trust recorded in Document No. 2011043841, of
the Official Public Records of Brazoria County, Texas.
