CORPORATION ("PEDC") BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND,
TEXAS, HELD MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2002, 5:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
I. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. with the following present:

II. Purpose of Hearing: To consider use of the one-half cent sales tax proceeds for
proposed PEDC projects. Proposed projects will include expenditures for any of the
following:
• Strategic plan and target marketing study
• Retail market assessment and target marketing study
• Sewer extension on Highway 35 south
• Utility and road extensions at McHard Road and Kirby
III. Staff Review — Executive Director Fred Welch gave an overview of the projects. City
Manager Bill Eisen and Project Director Joe Wertz also addressed the Board regarding
information pertaining to the potential infrastructure projects.
IV. Citizen Comments: Chamber of Commerce President Carol Artz, 3501 Liberty Drive,
addressed the Board expressing her support of the strategic plan and target marketing study,
as well as the retail market assessment.
V. Board of Directors/Staff Discussion: None
VI. Adjournment: Chairman Dennis Frauenberger adjourned the Public Hearing at 5:44 p.m.
