Mayor Reid called the meeting to order 6:30 p.m. with the following present:

Council Action - Resolution No. R2018-204 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, authorizing the power of eminent domain to acquire fee simple title to certain
property for the McHard Road Extension Project (Mykawa Road to Cullen Parkway); being a
0.2478 acre (10,792 square feet) parcel of land located in the H.T & B. R.R. Company Survey,
Abstract 234, Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas, being out of that certain Lot 14, Section 9, Allison
Richey Gulf Coast Home Company's Subdivision, according to the plat thereof filed in Volume 2,
Pages 23-24, Brazoria County Plat Records (B.C.P.R.) and being out of that certain called south
one half Lot 14 (calculated 4.885 acres) as described in a deed executed on December 19, 1955
from J. R. Herridge to J. H. Klopp, et ux. as recorded under Volume 640, Page 307, Brazoria
County Deed Records, for the construction and maintenance of road, utility and drainage
improvements on certain real property described herein; authorizing the city attorney, or his
designee, and other city officials to take such actions as are necessary to acquire said property,
located within the city, by donation, purchase, or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain.
Council Action - Resolution No. R2018-205 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, authorizing the power of eminent domain to acquire fee simple title to certain
property for the McHard Road Extension Project (Mykawa Road to Cullen Parkway); being Part
1, a 0.6835 acre (29,773 square feet) parcel of land being out of W. Dobson Survey, Abstract 187
and being out of that certain called 17.8243 acres tract as described in a deed dated executed on
August 2, 1994 from Arthur Fredrick Mahoney to Mary Mahoney as recorded in Brazoria County
Clerk's File (B.C.C.F.) Number 94-029148 of the Official Public Records of Brazoria County and
Part 2, a 5.132 acres (223,562 square feet) parcel of land being out of W. Dobson Survey,
Abstract 187 and being out of that certain called 17.8243 acres tract as described in a deed
executed on August 2, 1994 from Arthur Fredrick Mahoney to Mary Mahoney as recorded in
Brazoria County Clerk's File (B.C.C.F.) Number 94-029148 of the Official Public Records of

Council Action - Resolution No. R2018-206 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, authorizing the power of eminent domain to acquire fee simple title to certain
property for the McHard Road Extension Project (Mykawa Road to Cullen Parkway); being a
0.2212 acre (9,635 square feet) parcel of land located in the H.T. & B. R.R. Company Survey,
Abstract 243, Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas and being out of Lot 33, Section 19 Allison -
Richey Gulf Coast Home Company Subdivision according to the plat thereof filed in Volume 02,
Pages 23-24 Brazoria County Plat Records (B.C.P.R.) and out of a called 2.754 acres tract of
land as described in a deed executed on April 24, 1987 from Veterans Affairs to Chuck Goodgine,
et ux., recorded in Volume (87) 411, Page 826 of the Official Public Records of Brazoria County,
for the construction and maintenance of road, utility and drainage improvements on certain real
property described herein; authorizing the city attorney, or his designee, and other city officials to
take such actions as are necessary to acquire said property, located within the city, by donation,
purchase, or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain.
Council Action - Resolution No. R2018-207 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, authorizing the power of eminent domain to acquire fee simple title to certain
property for the McHard Road Extension Project (Mykawa Road to Cullen Parkway); being a
0.2937 acre (12,793 square feet) parcel of land located in the H.T. & B.R.R. Company Survey,
Abstract 242, Pearland , Brazoria County, Texas and being out of Lot 33, Section 19 Allison -
Richey Gulf Coast Home Company Subdivision according to the plat thereof filed in Volume 02,
Pages 23-24 Brazoria County Plat Records (B.C.P.R.) and out of a called 3.0 acres (calculated
3.00 1 acres) tract of land as described in a deed executed October 18, 1967 from J. R. Johnson,
et ux. to Ned E. Williamson , et ux. recorded in Volume 983, Page 918 Brazoria County Deed
Records , for the construction and maintenance of road, utility and drainage improvements on
certain real property described herein; authorizing the city attorney, or his designee, and other
city officials to take such actions as are necessary to acquire said property, located within the city,
by donation, purchase, or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain.
Council Action - Resolution No. R2018-208 - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Pearland, Texas, authorizing the power of eminent domain to acquire fee simple title to certain
property for the McHard Road Extension Project (Mykawa Road to Cullen Parkway); being a
0.7305 acre (31,821 square feet) parcel of land located in the F.B. Drake Survey, Abstract 505,
Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas and being out of Lot 30, Section 10, Allison Richey Gulf Coast
Home Company's Subdivision, according to the plat thereof filed in Volume 2, Pages 23-24,
Brazoria County Plat Records (B.C.P.R) and being out of that certain (calculated 5.000 acres for
a calculated total of 9.999 acres) tract as described in a deed executed on May 22, 1979 from
Joe D. Wheeler, Trustee, et al. to Thomas C. Coler, et ux., as recorded under Volume 1459, Page
597 Brazoria County Deed Records, for the construction and maintenance of road, utility and
drainage improvements on certain real property described herein; authorizing the city attorney, or
his designee, and other city officials to take such actions as are necessary to acquire said
property, located within the city, by donation, purchase, or by the exercise of the power of eminent
domain.

Councilmember Carbone made the motion, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Perez to approve
Resolution No. R2018-204, R2018-205, R2018-206, R2018-2047 and R2018-208.
Voting "Aye" Councilmembers Carbone, Perez, Hernandez, Little and Moore.
Voting "No" None
Motion passed 5 to 0, with Councilmember Reed and Councilmember Owens absent.
