PEARLAND, TEXAS, HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2017, AT 7:30 P.M. IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
Mayor Reid called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the following present:

Others in attendance: Jon Branson Deputy City Manager; Trent Epperson Assistant City
Manager; Joel Hardy Interim Management Assistant.
Purpose of the Meeting:
Input and Discussion: A summary for the Joint Workshop of the proposed Planned
Development "Old Town Business Park"'a commercial and light industrial development
located on the West side of Main Street (SH 35) and South of Rice Drier Road.
Senior Planner Martin Griggs gave a summary of the proposed Planned Development "Old
Town Business Park" a commercial and light industrial development.
Applicant/Owner Bobby Orr, 5400 Katy Freeway, addressed Council stating there is a
demand for what is being proposed and he is excited about this development in Pearland.
He has received great support and information from Pearland staff and Pearland Economic
Development Corporation.
Councilmember Carbone stated this is a good looking development. The look of the light
industrial in this area in terms of the stucco and transparency look good.
Mayor Pro -Tem Moore stated he is excited to see development like this in this area.
Councilmember Ordeneaux stated he is looking forward to see development in that area.
He stated his only concern is SH 35 is not developing yet. He wished the applicanUowner
the best of luck.
Councilmember Hill stated he appreciated the applicanUowner developing in the area to
make Pearland look better. This is promising.

Councilmember Perez stated Method Architecture is a client of his, even though they are
not presenting tonight he does not think it would be appropriate for him to make a comment I so he is going to excuse himself from any future votes associated with this project.
