2017-08-16 ANIMAL CONTROL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTESAnimal Control Advisory Committee Minutes August 16, 2017 The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee held a Regular Meeting on August 16, 2017 at 5:30 PM, in the City of Pearland, Public Safety Building in Pearland, Texas. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM. II. Roll Call: The following members were in attendance at the meeting: Committee Member, Shari Coleman Committee Member, Mary Hickling Committee Member, Cynthia Rothermel Committee Member, Ron Fraser Committee Member, Dr. Cara Campbell III. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING MINUTES FROM APRIL 5 2017 MEETING: Committee Member Mary Hickling made a motion to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded by Committee Member Cindy Rothermel. The motion passed 5-0. IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS I-Ialey Greenway gave an update on the status of the trailer ordered by Pearland Pets. The vehicle cost was $62,019. They are planning a fundraiser for the artwork and wrapping the vehicle. V. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION "I'HE PRESENTATION OF TIIE ASILOMAR ACCORDS Committee Member Shari Coleman indicated that the major challenges facing the shelter for reaching `moo -Kill" status is space. The shelter operates at near capacity on a regular basis. Committee Chair Ron Fraser requested that Shari Coleman present a project on the Trap Neuter Release program. No action taken. VI. STAFF REPORT FROM ANIMAL CONTROL MANAGER" Please see attached report . Committ ee Member Shari Coleman made a motion to accept the report. Committee Member Cindy Rothermel seconded the motion. The motion passed 5-0. VII. ADJOURNMENT: Committee Member Shari Coleman made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Committee Cindy Rothermel and the motion was approved unanimously.
