CALL TO ORDER
P&Z Chairperson Henry Fuertes opened the P&Z Regular Meeting at 6:30 p.m.

CONSENT AGENDA
P&Z Commissioner Linda Cowles made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda,
P&Z Commissioner Mary Starr seconded.
The vote was 5-0. The Consent Agenda was approved.
CONSIDERATION & POSSIBLE ACTION — APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Approve the Minutes of the July 21, 2014, p.m. P&Z Regular Meeting, held at 6:30 p.m.
Amend the approved minutes of the July 7, 2014 P&Z Regular Meeting held at 6:30
p. M.
Excuse the Absence of Ginger McFadden from the July 7, 2014 P&Z Regular meeting;
and, Linda Cowles from the July 21, 2014 P&Z Regular meeting.

A request by Evelyn Pineda, applicant and owner; for approval of a Planning and
Zoning Variance to allow a minimum of 98.49 -foot lot width where 100 feet is required
and to allow a minimum lot area of 9,447 sq. ft. where 12.500 sq. ft. is required within
the requested Office Professional (OP) zoning district on the following described
property, to wit:
Legal Description: Being lot 15 of the Darlinda Addition to the Town of Pearland, a
subdivision of Tract 9 and part of Tract 8 of the Allison Richey Gulf Coast Homes Co.'s
Suburban Garden Subdivision of part of H.T.& B.R.R. Co. Survey, Section 5, Abstract
232, said subdivision of record in Vol. 2, Page 16 of the Plat Records of Brazoria
County, Texas.

Senior Planner Ian Clowes read the staff report explaining that the applicant is
attempting to pursue an Office Professional (OP) zone change and the requested
variance is necessary before the process can continue. Deputy City Attorney Nghiem
Doan concurred.
P&Z Commissioner Mary Starr made the motion to approve Planning and Zoning
Variance 2014-03. P&Z Commissioner Elizabeth McLane seconded.
The vote was 5-0. Planning & Zoning Variance 2014-03 was approved.

1. Commissioners Activity Report — No Discussion
2. Comprehensive Plan Update — Senior Planner Ian Clowes stated that the
P&Z Workshop has been postponed.
3. Zoning Update — Senior Planner Ian Clowes stated there were no new
updates.
4. Postponed Agenda Items — Zone Change 2014-10Z Lake Park PD, Staff is
waiting for applicant's resubmittal.
5. Next JPH/P&Z Meeting August 18, 2014 — P&Z will meet in the 2nd Floor
Conference Room
6. No P&Z Meeting on September 1, 2014 — Labor Day Holiday
