Mayor Reid called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following present:

PURPOSE OF HEARING — PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 20 -
ACRES.
Senior Planner Harold Ellis reported Kevin Cole, applicant for Tin Dinh, Owner; has
petitioned the City of Pearland to annex an approximately 20 acre tract of land, located
on the east side of County Road 107F north of Bailey Road, and west of Manvel Road.
The property just east of the tract subject to annexation includes approximately 20
acres, is under common ownership and was annexed into the City in 2001. This
adjacent tract is zoned Single -Family Estate District. When a property is annexed into
the City, the interim zoning of the land is suburban Development District. Ultimately the
applicant proposes a low density, single-family residential development.
Kevin Cole stated he is with the Matrix Group representing the owner of the 20 acre
subject tract of land. The plans are to develop a 40 acre low density, single-family
residential subdivision.
CITIZEN COMMENTS:
Terry Woods, 3525 Charles Avenue, addressed Council stating he has the adjoining
property and is concerned with the drainage issues.
COUNCIL/STAFF DISCUSSION:
Councilmember Sherrouse stated she would like to hear comments regarding the
citizens concerns on the drainage issue.

Assistant City Manager Mike Hodge stated at the Public Hearing on December 9, 2013
this drainage issue was brought up. At that time Staff was directed to have a
conversation with Mr. Woods regarding the drainage. He further stated it is associated
with the development of the Pearland Independent School District tract. The City is
going to follow up on the drainage issues before any development moves forward.
