CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tom Reid and Acting P&Z Chairperson Henry Fuertes called the public hearing
to order at 6:42 p.m. with the following present:

Also in attendance: City Attorney Darrin Coker, Assistant City Manager Mike Hodge,
City Manager Bill Eisen, City Planner Harold Ellis, Community Development Director
Lata Krishnarao, and Community Development Office Coordinator Judy Brown.
City Planner Harold Ellis explained the Joint Public Hearing and agenda process for the
attending public, and explained that the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting would
immediately follow the Joint Public Hearing.
Mayor Tom Reid called to order the Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit No.
2012-03 at 6:43 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
CONSIDERATION & POSSIBLE ACTION — CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. CUP
2012-03
At the request of Narsh Inc., applicant, and owner, for approval of a Conditional Use
Permit to allow the operation of an Auto Repair (Major) facility in the General
Commercial (GC) District, on the following described property, to wit:
Legal Description: Lot 2 of 1011 Main Addition, A subdivision of 10.2734 acres situated
in the H. T. & B. R. R. CO. Survey, Abstract 542, according to the map or plat thereof
recorded in Clerk's File No. 2012009314 of the Official Records of Brazoria County,
Texas
General Location: 1011 N. Main, Pearland, TX
Acting P&Z Chairperson Henry Fuertes read the purpose of the hearing.
City Planner Harold Ellis read the staff report stating staff recommended approval.

Applicant Mr. Syed S Hussain of 3560 Old Spanish Trail, Houston Texas 77021 spoke.
There was no one present to speak for or against the Conditional Use Permit.
Council Member Woody Owens inquired about the storage of vehicles and the wash
down of the vehicles.
Mr. Hussain stated these were dry sand vehicles. No wet sand 99% of the time.
Discussion ensued with regards to storage and fence (wrought iron) and concrete
parking area. City Planner Harold Ellis stated the property is currently zoned General
Commercial (GC) and this zoning would work with the applicants use.
Mayor Tom Reid adjourned the Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit No. 2012-03
at 6:54 p.m.

Mayor Tom Reid adjourned the Public Hearing at 6:54 p.m.
