Mayor Reid called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following present:

NEW BUSINESS
MAYOR PRO -TEM ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO NEWLY
ELECTED OFFICIALS. Mayor Pro -Tem Cole.
Mayor Reid presented Woody Owens and Kevin Cole their Certificate of Election.
ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE TO NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Hon. Judge K. Randall Hufstetler.
300th District Court Judge K. Randall Hufstetler administered the Oath of Office to
Councilmember Woody Owens for Council Position No. 1 and Councilmember Kevin
Cole for the Position No. 5.
COUNCIL ACTION — RESOLUTION NO. R2007-87 — A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING
THE SERVICES AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF RICHARD TETENS. Mayor Reid and City
Council.
Councilmember Cole made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Saboe, to
approve Resolution R2007-87.
Voting "Aye" Councilmembers Cole, Kyle, Beckman, and Saboe.
Voting "Abstain" Councilmember Tetens.
Voting "No" None.

Motion Passed 4 to 0, with 1 abstention.
Mayor Reid presented Councilmember Tetens Resolution No. R2007-87 recognizing
the services and contributions he has made as Councilmember Position 1.
Mayor and the Councilmembers presented Councilmember Tetens a plaque
recognizing his distinguished service and was given a standing ovation.
Councilmember Tetens stated he had prepared something for this moment, however,
he decided he would not do that. He will say his usual, he is in favor of more green
space, less density and more people moving to the City as a destination city because
our quality of life is higher. He stated he has been on City Council for 18 years and has
enjoyed every bit of it. In closing Councilmember Tetens stated he will not say he would
not be back or say that he will. The City has come a long ways and a lot has been
accomplished and thanks to the Bond Election a lot more will be accomplished in the
coming years. He asked to the Council to work hard and spend the money faithfully and
he knows they will.
COUNCIL ACTION — ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO -TEM. City Council.
Councilmember Cole made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Kyle, to elect
Steve Saboe Mayor Pro -Tem.
Voting "Aye" Councilmembers Cole, Kyle, Beckman, and Owens.
Voting "Abstain" Councilmember Saboe.
Voting "No" None.
Motion Passed 4 to 0, with 1 abstention.
ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
