The meeting was called to order with the following present:

PURPOSE OF HEARING — DISANNEXATION OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 29.99 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED IN THE H.T. & B.R.R.
COMPANY SURVEY, ABSTRACT 505, BRAZORIA COUNTY, TEXAS.

STAFF REVIEW OF PROPOSED DISANNEXATION
City Attorney, Darrin Coker, stated this Public Hearing is prompted by a Strategic
Partnership Agreement recently approved by the City Council. This agreement is
between the City of Pearland and Municipal Utility District No. 16. Mr. Coker stated 65
acres of property will be purchased from Municipal Utility District No. 16 for the purpose
of developing a regional detention facility/park facility. Part of the agreement is the City
will disannex 29.99 acres located at Max Road and FM 518. Once the property is
disannexed, the developer agreed to abide by the General Business use classifications
and restrictions within the Land Use and Urban Development Ordinance, as well as the
City's sign regulations. Payment in Lieu of Taxes Agreement was issued in order for
the City to continue collecting sales tax from the property.

Councilmember Marcott asked if the Sign Ordinance was located within the Land Use
and Urban Development Ordinance.
City Attorney, Darrin Coker, stated the Sign Ordinance is located within the Land Use
and Urban Development Ordinance.
