The meeting was called to order with the following present:

PURPOSE OF HEARING - TO GATHER PUBLIC COMMENT AND TESTIMONY
REGARDING THE ADOPTION OF A SALES AND USE TAX AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY AND BRAZORIA COUNTY MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS NOS. 21 AND 22. Mr.
Darrin Coker, City Attorney.
STAFF REVIEW OF THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A SALES AND USE TAX
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND BRAZORIA COUNTY MUNICIPAL
DISTRICTS NOS. 21 AND 22.
City Attorney, Darrin Coker, stated he Will be brief and not duplicate any'of his comments
from the previous public hearing. The City is required to conduct two public hearings on
the Sales Tax Agreements as well as the Strategic Partnership Agreements. Both
Municipal Utility Districts have adopted these Sales Tax Agreements. In closing, Mr.
Coker stated this is the first of two public hearings. The second public hearing will be on
Monday, June 10, 2002, at 6:30 p.m.

Councilmember Marcott asked if both of these agreements have been agreed to by the
Municipal Utility Districts.
City Attorney, Darrin Coker, stated that Municipal Utility District Nos. 21 and 22 have
agreed and adopted the two agreements.
