ADVISORY BOARD MEETING - MINUTES
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - 6:00 p.m. at CVB
CALL TO ORDER & CVB ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER ROLL CALL.
Meeting commenced at 6:06 PM. In Attendance: Gary Shepherd (Chair), Manny Patel (Vice Chair),
Teir Allender, Steve Saboe (Sec), Kim Sinistore - Executive Director.
Absent: excused - Lonzie Helms, Arlene Ford, Keith Ordeneaux and Tomika Gamble.
II. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING JULY 13, 2016 BOARD MEETING MINUTES.
Approved minutes from July 13, 2016 meeting. Motion by Steve seconded by Teir.
III. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE REVIEW OF AIR B N B.
Discussed Air BnB. Discussed need for research on the issue. Texas monthly article March 28, 2016. No
action taken.
IV. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE USE OF MEETING MAX.
Discussed Meeting Max and its applicability for sporting events. Motion to authorize Kim to investigate
question raised in discussion, negotiate pricing for a trial period, no commence a trial period. Questions:
can all hotel brands use it? Does meeting max use this for marketing? Steve made motion, manny
seconded.
