IN THE CITY HALL, 3519 LDERTY DRIVE, PEAMM, TEXAS The Hearing was called to order with the following present: Mayor Councilmember/Mayor Pro Tem Councilmember Councilmember Councilmember Planning & Zoning Chairman Tom Reid William Wolff D. Wicker Ernesto Buenrostro Kay Krouse Absent from the Hearing: Councilmember James Bost, Planning and Zoning Members Clyde Stares and James Garner. NUMBER OF SIGNATURES ON ATTENDANCE ROSTER: 1 PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: APPLICATION NO. 15, REQUEST OF RUDY SCHUBERT, AGENT FOR CHARLES WIGHT, III, OWNER, FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE NO. 509, FROM CLASSIFICATION GENERAL BUSINESS (GB) TO COMMERCIAL (C) ON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY, TO WIT: Abstract 239, Lots 6A1 and 6A2 of a 2.1360 Acre Tract of land out of the H.T. & B.R.R. Survey, Section 11, Brazoria County, Texas (2601 S. Main). SPEAKING FOR THE PROPOSED REQUEST: 1. Mr. Rudy Schubert, 11218 Sageway Drive, Houston. Mr. Schubert advised that he was a real estate broker, representing Mr. Wight, owner of the property. There are two prospective buyers for this property, each of whom would have a business that would require a Commercial zoning. Mr. Schubert mentioned that the areas around this property are zoned Commercial. SPEAKING AGAINST THE PROPOSED REQUEST: None QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD There was a general discussion between Council, Planning Commissioners and City Staff .•� concerning the amount of land involved in this zone change request. It was determined that a small portion of land, currently zoned General Business, was not included in the request. COMPLETE TAPE OF HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY.
