QUESTION -AND -ANSWER -PERIOD
In Council discussion with Ms. Jackson, it was pointed out that the City has plans to
put in a Hike and Bike Trail from City Hall to the park which would cross over a
portion of this proposed school property. Also, the development of a proposed
roadway, from the new high school, extending from Hwy 35 to intersect with Liberty
Drive going past the proposed school, is intended for the future.
In answer to questions from the Council and members of the Planning and Zoning
Commission, Ms. Jackson informed that the school would have a controlled campus, with
a projected enrollment of 115 students this year with a maximum projection of 250
students in the future. Operating hours will be 8:00 A. M. to 3:10 P. M. but could
be staggered to help with traffic control.
Other questions for Ms. Jackson and City Staff concerned the possibility of
installing a fence for safety reasons and whether adequate utilities and parking
spaces were available.
