2005-08-08 CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP AGENDA CITY PLANS REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING 'OFFSITE' AUG. 8 Breaking from the 'norm', the Pearland City Council will be holding its regular August 8 council meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Challenger Elementary, 9434 Hughes Ranch Rd. instead of City Hall. The reason given is that the council members - Richard Tetens, Charles Viktorin, Kevin Cole, Woody Owens, and Larry Marcott - along with Mayor Tom Reid, want to conduct meetings on the west side of Pearland to "enhance communications and public awareness". The City has grown from 16,000 residents in 1990 to over 58,000 in 2005, with much of the growth occurring on the city's west end. In addition, continued growth is forecast to occur in that area, with the total city limits eventually encompassing an estimated 100,000 residents by the end of 2012. The agenda for this meeting will be posted in front of City Hall, as well as on the City website at www.cityofpearland.com where information on past meetings and other public information announcements are available. Unless otherwise noted, council meetings are normally held at Pearland City Hall, 3519 Liberty Dr. on the 2nd and 4th Mondays each month. All agendas and any changes in location are posted in front of City Hall and on the web at least 72 hours prior to the meeting date. For further information, please contact the City Secretary at 281-652-1653. 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE · PEARLAND, TEXAS 77581-5416 · 281-652-1600 · www. ci.pearland.tx.us ~ Prirtted on Recycled Paper 'P~I U.IAI V 'PH '(pooAk 'PH PlaOU · PH ,~ 'pAlfl,~fialln~ ,7 ) P~ no~H '~ u.XH u.!ON ID PlO AGENDA- WORKSHOP OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND, TEXAS, TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 8, 2005, AT 6:00 P.M., IN THE CAFETERIA AT CHALLENGER ELEMENTARY, 9434 HUGHES RANCH ROAD, PEARLAND, TEXAS.
