AUTHORIZATION FOR STAFF TO BID FOR POLICE CARS
City Manager DeShazer explained that Staff would like to encumber some funds out
of this year's Police Department budget, which will be a little over $35,000, -and
use this to purchase two additional police cars, which were previously taken out
of the new budget. These funds are available because of our not having a full
complement of officers for the 1989-90 budget year. There are two police cars
budgeted for the 1990-91 budget year so Staff is asking for authorization to bid
for four police cars.
Fleet Manager Mike Joyce answered questions from Council concerning the
availability of 1991 cars and whether or not it would be worthwhile to purchase
these through H -GAC.
It was moved by Councilmember Wolff, seconded by Councilmember Miller, that the

for two out of this budget and two out of next budget.
