MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEAR -
LAND, TEXAS, HELD ON SEPTEMBER 28, 1992, AT 6:30 P. M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 3519 LIBERTY DRIVE, PEARLAND, TEXAS
The meeting was called to order with the following present:

Absent from the meeting: Mayor Coppinger
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:
NEW BUSINESS
ACTION RESULTING FROM DISCUSSIONS IN EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING
PERSONNEL ACTIONS AND ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR ROADS
Mayor Pro Tem Weber announced consideration of this item would be
deferred until after Executive Session.
OTHER BUSINESS
EXECUTIVE SESSION UNDER TEXAS REVISED CIVIL STATUTES, ARTICLE 6252-17,
SECTION 2
Mayor Pro Tem Weber read from the posted agenda the following topics
to be discussed in Executive Session:
UNDER SUBSECTION (g) PERSONNEL - Discussion of personnel actions.
UNDER SUBSECTION (f) ACQUISITION OF LAND - Discussion of possible
purchase of land for roads.
Mayor Pro Tem Weber announced that Citizen Barbara Bamburg had re-
quested to speak regarding an item on the agenda. It was the consen-
sus of Council that Ms. Bamburg be allowed to speak.
CITIZEN INPUT:
Ms. Barbara Bamburg, 2824 Country Club. Ms. Bamburg discussed the
provisions of the Open Meetings Act and stated she felt the item
posted under Subsection (g) on this agenda was vague.
MEETING RECESSED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 6:36 P. M.
MEETING RETURNED TO OPEN SESSION AT 7:35 P. M.
Mayor Pro Tem Weber announced this special meeting would be recessed
at this time and reconvened after the regular meeting which was to
begin at this time.
MEETING RECONVENED AT 9:32 P. M.
It was the consensus of Council, that due to the lateness of the hour,
the special meeting would be adjourned at this time.

Mayor Pro Tem Weber signed a certification of those items discussed in
Executive Session.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 9:32 P. M.
