1965-05-28 CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTESMINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON FRIDAY NIGHT MAY 28, 1965s BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PEARLAND A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Pearland was called to order by Mayor Kegley at 7:15 P. M. May 28, 1965, with -the following present: Mayor Councilman Councilman City Secretary City Engineer Representative John G. Kegley Gene E. Sanders Joe Dan Calvin W. A. McClellan Jack McLaren Mayor Kegley stated that the purpose of the meeting was to q)en sealed bids for the additions to the water distribution system in the old townsite. Bids submitted as follows: Bost Ditching Service, Frendswood, Texas - $139,151.30 Cashier's Check $7,000.00. Gulfine Construction Company, Beaumont, Texas - $114,116.20 Cashier's Check $6,000.00 B. & T. Construction Company, Port Lavaca, Texas - $127,082.50 Cashier's Check $6,400.00 Warren Construction Company, Houston, Texas $121,246.00 Cashier's Check $6.,062-30- 6,062.30Kay KayService Company, Alvin, Texas $108,260.81 Cashier's Check $5,413.04 Lamar Construction Company, LaMarque, Texas 113,287.33 " Cashier's Check $7,500.00 Mercer Construction Company, Edna, Texas 114019.70 Cashier's Check $5,800.00 Price & Null Construction Company, Houston, Texas $123,664.95 Cashier's Check $6,200.00 Texala Construction Company, Houston, Texas $122,368.50. Bids to be tabulated and checked and contract to be awarded at a special meeting to be held on Thursday night June 3, 1965. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 P. M.
