OF THE CITYOF PEARLAND HELD ON FRIDAY MARCH 12, 1965
A special meeting of the Pearland City Council was called to order by
Mayor Kegley at 7:30 P. M. in the City Hall on March 12, 1965, with
the following city officials and visitors present:

Mayor Kegley explained that the purpose of the meeting was to open and
let bids for a Patrol Car and Radio.

Motion made by Alexander, seconded by Shukanes that low bid of Palm
Center Dodge Company will be accepted after review of advertisement by
City Attorney. WHEREUPON, the question was asked and the motion
carried, all Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes."
Tabulation of Radio Bids:
Palm Center Dodge Company - (Cashier's Check for $33.35)
2 channel factory installed radio for the sum of $667.00
Motion made by Councilman Alexander, seconded by Councilman Shukanes
that the Radio Bid be rejected. WHEREUPON, the question was asked
and the motion carried, all Councilmen voted "aye" with no "noes."

Meeting recessed at 8:30 to hear report by Escue Harris regarding
short course he had attended the previous week at A. & M. College on
sewage treatment and water works problems.
Meeting called to order again at 9:00 P. M.
Motion made by Councilman Sanders, seconded by Councilman Shukanes
that Escue Harris be promoted to City of Pearland Public Works Superintendent
in charge of all facets of city utility, street, maintenance, etc.
WHEREUPON, the question was asked and the motion carried, all Councilmen
voted "aye" with no "noes."
Councilman Shukanes advised that the'Ellis Road project on Telephone
Road had been let to D. L. Smith and Calvin Massey.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
