Re: Mobility and Drainage Bond Program
Corrigan Area Drainage -Contract No.2-Detention Pond Improvements
Dear Mr Wertz:
The City of Pearland Purchasing Office received sealed bids on June 2, 2004 on the above referent
project Bids were received from three contractors. The bids received are shown on the attached
Bid Tabulation.
The low bidder was Triple B Services L L P with a bid of $2,782,970.25. The bid were tabulated
and reviewed. Triple B Services, L.L.P has previously satisfactorily completed projects for the
City of Pearland and in the City of Pearland In negotiations with Triple B Services, L L P it was
determined that the construction cost could be reduced by relocating the proposed pump station to
the southwest corner of the site, changing the configuration of the pump station structure changing
the discharge piping and the intake configuration. The total negotiated reduction in construction
cost of $415,977.80 is reflected in the attached Change Order No.1.
It is our recommendation the project be awarded to the low bidder Triple B Services, L L P in the
amount of $2,782,970.25 and execute Change Order No.1 in the amount of a cost decrease of
$415,977 45.
Sincerely,
Jarfies W. Keller, P.E.
